We went on our annual Christmas trip to Meijer Gardens in early December. They have their beautiful "Christmas Trees Around the World" display as well as pictures with Santa, an enormous toy train, a Christmas choir, arts and crafts, and more.
The kids loved the music and Christmas atmosphere, it certainly got us all into the Christmas spirit and kicked off the season well.
Our minute with Santa was chaotic and full of tears (much like last year). Mia freaked out before we even got near him, and Carter could not be convinced to sit on his lap. I had to be in the picture since Mia wouldn't let go of my sweater for anything. The trauma was short lived thanks to Mrs. Clause and a basket of candy on our way out.
Santa's sleigh was acceptable and fun (since Santa was not near this area).
